Contact signed!

It's been nearly 8 weeks since we signed our preliminary planning agreement and a lot has been happening in the background. There hasn't been a lot for us to do while the Stannard team worked to turn our concept drawings into full working plan. They submitted the plans to the city of Melville on November 25 for a "deemed to comply" check and received approval just shy of two weeks later.

Last Friday, December 17, our consultant, Dean Reynolds (pictured), delivered a full set of drawings, pricing schedule, specification addenda and build contact. Amanda and I spent the next few days compiling a long list of questions and then took them to Dean today
to discuss.

After a forensic style inquiry, we decided to continue to move ahead with our build and signed up. Next steps will be to start meeting key members of the build process such as our client liaison, interior designer, air con vendor, electrical vendor, landscaper, etc. Of course, we will have to wait a while due to Xmas holidays now but talk about the ultimate Christmas gift - a new house!!
